Lighting design

Plots, rigs and programming — for one night, or for a room that has to look right every night.

Who this is for

One-night shows that need a rig and somebody to run it, and permanent house systems that have to work for whoever is on the console next week.

What’s included

Plots, patch and circuit schedules. Truss and motor specification. Fixture packages, programming and operation.

On install work, house dimming and control too — at Animales that meant Lutron RA3 dimming for the house lighting sitting alongside a full stage rig, so the room could shift from dinner to show without anybody rewiring their expectations.

How a job runs

Site visit, plot, rig, focus, program, then either run the show or hand it over.

For a permanent rig, the handover is the part that decides whether the room still looks right in a year. Presets, labelled patch and time with the operator.

The Animales BBQ Co. lighting plot — drawn against the furniture plan so fixture positions and sightlines were resolved before the seating was fixed, and coordinated with RGB backlighting on a custom steel backdrop.
